ground beef

Add salt to the patties.
Add pepper to the patties.
Flip the patties.
Add salt to the patties again.
Add pepper to the patties again.
Bake at 375 degrees for approximately 15-20 minutes.
Add 1 1/2 - 2 tablespoons of butter to the pan once melted.
Add sliced and halved onions to the pan with the melted butter.
Add salt and pepper to the onions.
Saute the onions to your desired tenderness, cooking them a bit on the darker side.
Flip the onions halfway through cooking.
Remove the patties from the oven once completely cooked through.
Add the patties to a paper towel lined plate.
Toast the plain white bread.
Build the Patty Melt by adding mayonnaise to both slices of bread.
Add cooked onions to both slices of bread.
Add cheese on top of the onions.
Add the cooked patty on top of the cheese.
Add the top slice of bread.
Slice the Patty Melt and enjoy.
