Slice the onion into rings, as thick or thin as preferred.
Place 5-6 pats of butter in a skillet and let it melt.
Add the onion rings to the melted butter in the skillet.
Season the onions with a little seasoned salt and black pepper while sautéing.
Sauté the onions to desired tenderness, then remove them from the skillet.
Add about half a cup of oil to the skillet to fry the liver.
Season the liver with seasoned salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
Mix the seasonings into the liver.
Add the liver to the hot oil one piece at a time, avoiding overcrowding.
Cook the liver for about 2 minutes on each side, ensuring it doesn't become tough.
Remove the liver from the skillet when it's almost done but not completely cooked.
Remove all the oil from the skillet and add a little water or beef broth to steam the liver.
Add the sautéed onions back into the skillet with the liver.
Cover the skillet and let it steam for a couple more minutes or serve immediately.
