Ingredients

  • 4 bone-in pork chops (about 1 inch thick)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)

Instructions

  1. 1Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. 2Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and thyme.
  3. 3In a large oven-safe skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
  4. 4Once the oil is hot, add the pork chops and sear for about 3-4 minutes on each side until they are golden brown.
  5. 5Remove the pork chops from the skillet and set aside.
  6. 6Pour the chicken broth into the skillet, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom.
  7. 7Return the pork chops to the skillet, spooning some of the broth over them.
  8. 8Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the pork chops reaches 145°F (63°C).
  9. 9Remove the skillet from the oven and let the pork chops rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  10. 10Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

  • 1 lb smoked sausage, sliced
  • 1 small head of cabbage, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

Instructions

  1. 1Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. 2Add the sliced sausage and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. 3Remove the sausage from the skillet and set aside.
  4. 4In the same skillet, add the diced onion and minced garlic, sauté until the onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. 5Add the chopped cabbage to the skillet, stirring to combine with the onion and garlic.
  6. 6Season with salt, black pepper, and paprika, and cook for about 5 minutes until the cabbage starts to wilt.
  7. 7Pour in the chicken broth and apple cider vinegar, stirring to combine.
  8. 8Return the sausage to the skillet, cover, and let simmer for 10-15 minutes until the cabbage is tender.

  3. 3Rub the spice mixture evenly over both sides of the pork chops.
  4. 4Drizzle olive oil over the pork chops to help prevent sticking on the grill.
  5. 5Place the pork chops on the grill and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
  6. 6During the last few minutes of cooking, spoon salsa over each pork chop and top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  7. 7Close the grill lid to melt the cheese for about 2-3 minutes.
  8. 8Remove the pork chops from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes.
