COWBOY CAMPFIRE COOKING FOR BEGINNERS | How-To Get Started

- ●4 bone-in pork chops (about 1 inch thick)
- ●2 tbsp olive oil
- ●1 tsp salt
- ●1/2 tsp black pepper
- ●1 tsp garlic powder
- ●1 tsp onion powder
- ●1/2 tsp paprika
- ●1/2 tsp dried thyme
- ●1/2 cup chicken broth
- ●1 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)
Instructions
- 1Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- 2Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and thyme.
- 3In a large oven-safe skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
- 4Once the oil is hot, add the pork chops and sear for about 3-4 minutes on each side until they are golden brown.
- 5Remove the pork chops from the skillet and set aside.
- 6Pour the chicken broth into the skillet, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom.
- 7Return the pork chops to the skillet, spooning some of the broth over them.
- 8Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the pork chops reaches 145°F (63°C).
- 9Remove the skillet from the oven and let the pork chops rest for 5 minutes before serving.
- 10Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

- ●1 medium onion, diced
- ●2 cloves garlic, minced
- ●2 tbsp olive oil
- ●1 tsp salt
- ●1/2 tsp black pepper
- ●1/2 tsp paprika
- ●1/2 cup chicken broth
- ●1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
Instructions
- 1Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- 2Add the sliced sausage and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
- 3Remove the sausage from the skillet and set aside.
- 4In the same skillet, add the diced onion and minced garlic, sauté until the onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- 5Add the chopped cabbage to the skillet, stirring to combine with the onion and garlic.
- 6Season with salt, black pepper, and paprika, and cook for about 5 minutes until the cabbage starts to wilt.
- 7Pour in the chicken broth and apple cider vinegar, stirring to combine.
- 8Return the sausage to the skillet, cover, and let simmer for 10-15 minutes until the cabbage is tender.
- 9Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary before serving.

- ●1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
Instructions
- 1Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- 2In a small bowl, mix together the cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- 3Rub the spice mixture evenly over both sides of the pork chops.
- 4Drizzle olive oil over the pork chops to help prevent sticking on the grill.
- 5Place the pork chops on the grill and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
- 6During the last few minutes of cooking, spoon salsa over each pork chop and top with shredded cheddar cheese.
- 7Close the grill lid to melt the cheese for about 2-3 minutes.
- 8Remove the pork chops from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes.
- 9Garnish with chopped fresh cilantro before serving.
