1

Heat a large skillet over medium to medium-high heat and add grape seed oil.

2

Season 2 lbs of boneless skinless chicken thighs with garlic powder, onion powder, signature seasoning, and ginger paste. Mix well to coat the chicken.

3

Place the seasoned chicken thighs in the skillet, laying them away from you to avoid splatter. Press down to help sear.

4

Cook the chicken for about 7 to 8 minutes on each side until nicely charred and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

5

In the same skillet, add 1 cup of diced onions and cook for about 4 to 5 minutes until softened.

6

In a bowl, combine 1 cup brown sugar, 1/2 cup apple juice, 1/2 cup bourbon, crushed red pepper flakes, garlic powder, onion powder, soy sauce, and honey. Whisk together.

7

Pour the bourbon sauce into the skillet with the onions and bring to a low boil. Reduce heat and let simmer for 10 to 15 minutes until the sauce thickens and reduces by half.

8

Make a cornstarch slurry by mixing equal parts cornstarch and water (1.5 tablespoons each). Add this to the sauce to thicken it further.

9

Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.

10

Serve the bourbon chicken over rice, garnished with green onions and a drizzle of sriracha.
