Add 12 ounces of linguine to the bottom of a sauté pan.

Add 1 onion, peeled and very thinly sliced.

Pour in 4 1/2 cups of water.

Turn the heat on high and bring to a boil, stirring constantly.

Once boiling, reduce heat and continue stirring for approximately 9 minutes until pasta is cooked.
