Introduce the ingredients for the salsa: 2 roma tomatoes, 3 serrano peppers, 1 garlic clove, 1/3 of a small to medium yellow onion, and diced cilantro.

Char the outside of the tomatoes, peppers, and garlic on all sides for about 2 minutes on one side, then flip and char for another minute.

Remove the charred ingredients from the skillet and place them on a plate.

Add the charred ingredients to a blender.

Add about two-thirds of the diced onion to the blender, leaving some unblended.

Add 1.5 tablespoons of salt and 3/4 cup of water to the blender.

Blend the ingredients until you achieve a chunky puree consistency, blending for about 5 to 10 seconds.

In a bowl, add the remaining diced onion and cilantro.

Pour the blended salsa into the bowl over the onion and cilantro.
