Start by putting 3 cups of all-purpose flour in a large bowl.
Add 2 and 1/2 teaspoons of salt and 1 and 1/2 tablespoons of instant yeast to the flour.
Add 1/4 cup of honey to the mixture.
Pour in 2 and 3/4 cups of very warm water, ensuring it's not boiling but warm enough to activate the yeast.
Add 1/4 cup of neutral oil, using avocado oil in this case.
Mix the ingredients with a spoon or spatula until combined, leaving some clumps of flour.
Let the mixture sit for about 10 minutes to activate the yeast, until it becomes bubbly.
After 10 minutes, check the mixture for bubbles and add 3 and 1/2 more cups of flour, mixing until combined.
Assess the dough; if it seems too wet, add up to another cup of flour as needed, based on the dough's texture.
Knead the dough for about 8-10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1-2 hours.
Once risen, punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf.
Place the shaped dough into a greased loaf pan and cover it again.
Let the dough rise until doubled, about 30-45 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
Bake the bread for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.
Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
