Crock Pot Smothered Chicken

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
1 packet (1 oz) ranch dressing mix
1 cup chicken broth
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp salt

Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the crock pot.

In a mixing bowl, combine the cream of chicken soup, cream of mushroom soup, ranch dressing mix, and chicken broth. Mix well.

Pour the soup mixture over the chicken in the crock pot.

Add the chopped onion, green bell pepper, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt on top of the soup mixture.

Cover the crock pot and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is cooked through and tender.

Once cooked, shred the chicken with two forks and stir it back into the sauce.
