This hearty dish symbolizes comfort and family meals, often served with potatoes and vegetables. In modern times, it has gained popularity in various forms across the globe, with each culture adding its unique twist, from American barbecue glazes to Italian herbs.

Add 1 tablespoon of butter to a skillet.
Add half of a seasoning blend package (onions, bell peppers, celery, parsley) to the skillet and cook down.
Season the vegetables while cooking to enhance flavor.
Set the cooked vegetables aside.
In a bowl, add 2 slices of wheat bread and 3/4 cup of milk to soak, breaking the bread into smaller pieces.
In a mixing bowl, add 2 pounds of 80/20 ground beef and season it well.
Add 1 package of Lipton onion soup to the ground beef.
Add 2 large eggs to the mixture.
Add the cooked vegetables to the ground beef mixture.
Add the soaked bread and milk mixture to the ground beef.
Add 1-2 tablespoons of ketchup, 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce, 1 tablespoon of garlic powder, and 1 tablespoon of Vadia complete seasoning to the mixture.
Mix everything together until well incorporated, being careful not to overwork the meat.
Transfer the meatloaf mixture to a baking dish, smoothing out the top and ensuring there are no cracks.
Bake the meatloaf uncovered at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 45 minutes.
While the meatloaf is baking, prepare the glaze by mixing 1/4 cup of barbecue sauce, 1-2 tablespoons of brown sugar, and yellow mustard to taste.
Set the glaze aside.
Peel and chop 3 large russet potatoes and place them in a bowl of water.
Boil the potatoes on high heat for 10-12 minutes until fork-tender.
Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.
Add 2-4 tablespoons of melted butter and 1 cup of milk to the potatoes.
Add a dollop of sour cream to the potatoes.
Mash the potatoes until desired consistency is reached, adding salt to taste.
While the potatoes are boiling, cut the cabbage by removing the core and slicing it to desired thickness.
