Preheat the oven.

Grease the baking pan, ensuring all indentations are covered.

Lightly flour the greased cake pan.

Beat 5 eggs in a bowl.

Add granulated sugar to the eggs and mix well.

Sift in cake flour and baking powder, then mix well.

Add melted butter to the mixture and mix well. Note: If the butter is not soft enough, microwave it to make it a little liquid.

Add a few drops of vanilla extract and mix well.

Pour the mixture into the pan and smooth the top.

Drop the pan lightly on the counter to release air bubbles from the batter.

Bake in the oven for 50 to 60 minutes. Cover with aluminum foil if it starts to brown.

Check if the skewer comes out clean; if so, place the cake pan on a wire rack to cool until it can be handled.

Remove the cake from the pan and cut off the rounded top to make it nice and flat.

Place the cake on the wire rack to cool completely.
