Today, it has gained popularity beyond Bulgaria, frequently appearing in Mediterranean cuisine worldwide.

Hard boil 4 eggs in cold water, covering them just to the top.
Chop tiny cucumbers into tiny cubes.
Slice 2 bell peppers into fine thin slices, using about 1.5 peppers.
Cut 2 tomatoes down the center and remove the stem, then slice them thickly.
Thinly slice either 1/2 red onion or 2 shallots for garnish.
Blanch mushrooms in boiling water for 3 to 4 minutes, then place in an ice bath.
Finely slice parsley for garnish and mince dill for the dressing.
Make the dressing with extra virgin olive oil, red wine vinegar, dill, black pepper, and salt, whisking it together.
Slice the hard-boiled eggs in half.
Layer blanched mushrooms as the base, then add half of the tomatoes, cubed cucumbers, sliced peppers, red onions, and ham cubes on top.
Shred feta cheese over the top and garnish with parsley.
Drizzle the dressing over the salad.
