Pound the chicken breasts to even them out for even cooking.
Peel and cut up the sweet potatoes.
Place the cut sweet potatoes onto a large baking sheet.
Drizzle 2 tablespoons of olive oil over the sweet potatoes and season with salt and black pepper to taste.
Toss the sweet potatoes to coat them well in the oil and seasoning.
Preheat the oven to 400°F.
Bake the sweet potatoes for 20 minutes.
In a bowl, combine 2 tablespoons of melted butter, 2 tablespoons of olive oil, 3 tablespoons of honey, 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of balsamic vinegar, 2 tablespoons of brown sugar, 1/2 teaspoon of dried basil, 1/2 teaspoon of dried oregano, and 4 cloves of minced garlic. Mix everything together.
After 20 minutes, remove the sweet potatoes from the oven; they should be partially baked.
Make space in the middle of the baking sheet and place the chicken breasts in it.
Add about 1 lb of broccoli to the baking sheet with the chicken and sweet potatoes.
Pour the honey garlic sauce over the chicken, sweet potatoes, and broccoli.
Bake in the oven at 400°F for 20 to 22 minutes or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
Pour the sauce from the baking pan into another pan over medium heat.
Mix 1/4 cup of water with 1 tablespoon of cornstarch to create a slurry and add it to the sauce.
Stir the mixture and let the sauce simmer on medium heat for about a minute until it thickens.
Pour the thickened sauce over the chicken and vegetables.
