1

Add 500 grams of flour to a bowl.

2

Add 1 tablespoon of sugar and dry yeast or half a cube of fresh yeast.

3

Add 1-2 tablespoons of olive oil and 1 beaten egg.

4

Sprinkle almost 1 tablespoon of salt around the flour.

5

Pour in 300 ml of warm water and mix everything well by hand or with a machine.

6

Once mixed, use a spatula to push down the sides of the bowl to combine the sticky dough.

7

Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 to 1.5 hours, covered with a cloth or lid.

8

Lightly flour a work surface and transfer the dough, kneading it gently without incorporating too much flour.

9

Shape the dough into a round disc about 13-15 mm thick.

10

Transfer to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or greased and floured.

11

Use a sharp object or your fingers to create patterns on the surface of the dough.

12

Preheat the oven to 250°C (482°F) with a tray of water at the bottom for steam.

13

After 10-15 minutes, when the oven is hot, brush the surface with beaten egg and sprinkle with black cumin seeds.

14

Bake for 13 minutes until golden and slightly cooled before serving.
