Instructions
- 1Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- 2In a bowl, combine Heinz chili sauce, soy sauce, garlic, onion, brown sugar, and black pepper.
- 3Mix until well blended to create the sauce.
- 4Place chicken pieces in a baking dish and pour the sauce over them, ensuring they are well coated.
- 5Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- 6Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce is bubbling.
- 7While the chicken is baking, heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- 8Add green bell pepper and red bell pepper to the skillet and sauté until tender, about 5 minutes.
- 9In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with water to create a slurry.
- 10Add the slurry to the skillet and stir until the sauce thickens, about 2-3 minutes.
- 11Once the chicken is done, remove it from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes.
- 12Serve the chicken topped with the sautéed peppers and sauce, garnished with sesame seeds and green onions.

- 6Reduce heat to low and let the mixture simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- 7While the mixture simmers, toast the hamburger buns if desired.
- 8Spoon the sloppy joe mixture onto the bottom half of each bun.
- 9Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.
