1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
3/4 cup milk

Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.

Add the cold, cubed butter to the flour mixture and use a pastry cutter or your fingers to mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Make a well in the center of the mixture and pour in the milk.

Stir gently until just combined; do not overmix.

Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead gently for about 30 seconds.
