Soak rice overnight.
Blend soaked rice with chopped onion, yogurt, and a bit of water.
Transfer blended mixture into a bowl and add half of the cooked rice, yeast, and sugar. Stir to mix well.
Cover the mixture and let it rise and ferment for about 4 hours.
Add salt and sliced onion to the risen mixture and stir.
Heat a non-stick pan over medium to low heat and add half a teaspoon of oil.
Pour the masa batter into the frying pan and wait for tiny holes to form before flipping.
Flip the masa when tiny holes appear and cook until golden brown.
