Add 1 cup of warm milk to a mixing bowl.
Add 3 tablespoons of olive oil, 1 tablespoon of yeast, 1 tablespoon of sugar, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, and 1 teaspoon of salt to the bowl.
Mix everything together to activate the yeast and dissolve the sugar and salt.
Add 3 cups of all-purpose flour to the mixture and knead the dough.
If the dough is too dry, add a little more milk as needed.
Knead the dough for about a minute, then place it back in the bowl and cover it to let it rise for about 10-15 minutes.
Prepare the sauce by combining 8 ounces of tomato sauce, 1 tablespoon of tomato paste, 1 grated garlic clove, a little salt, black pepper, and 1 teaspoon of olive oil in a bowl and mix well.
Sprinkle flour on a surface and on the dough, then roll out the dough to fit a baking pan.
Line the baking pan with parchment paper and brush it with olive oil.
Transfer the rolled dough to the baking pan, trim any excess edges, and poke holes in the dough with a fork.
Spread the prepared sauce over the dough and brush with a little olive oil.
Bake in the oven at 350°F for 15 minutes.
After 15 minutes, switch the oven to broil and broil for an additional 5-8 minutes to brown the top.
Add chopped green olives and parsley on top before serving.
