Start with 2/3 cups warm milk.
Add 2.5 teaspoons of quick rise yeast to the milk.
Mix in 3 tablespoons of white sugar with the yeast and milk.
Let the mixture sit for about 8-10 minutes to activate the yeast.
Add 2 3/4 cups of all-purpose flour to the yeast mixture using a paddle attachment in a mixer.
Cover the mixture and let it rise for about 30 minutes in a warm place.
Mix 1 1/2 teaspoons of kosher salt with 3 1/4 cups of all-purpose flour in a separate bowl.
Scramble 5 eggs in another bowl.
Add the flour mixture to the yeast mixture, making a well for the eggs.
Add the scrambled eggs into the flour and yeast mixture.
Switch to a dough hook attachment and mix until combined.
Gradually add in 8 tablespoons of room temperature unsalted butter, mixing until smooth and shiny.
Knead the dough slightly and scrape it out of the bowl.
Form the dough into a ball and coat the bowl with 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil.
Place the dough ball in the oiled bowl, smooth side up, and cover.
Let it rise for 60 to 90 minutes in a warm place.
