Brioche burger buns are a popular choice in American cuisine, known for their rich, buttery flavor and soft texture. They elevate the classic burger experience, making them a favorite for barbecues and casual dining. The use of brioche reflects a blend of French baking techniques with American culinary traditions, showcasing the versatility of bread in various meal contexts.
all-purpose flour

Whole wheat flour adds more nutrients, while bread flour can be more economical.

Coconut oil is a healthier fat alternative, while margarine can be less expensive.
Add to a big bowl flour, instant dry yeast, sugar and salt. Give this a mix.
Make sure the milk is 28℃ and add this to the flour mixture and add 1 egg. Mix this by hand till it becomes a dough.
Take it out of the bowl and knead it till it has a smooth structure.
Flatten the dough a little bit and divide the soft butter on the dough and start kneading this.
Knead this till smooth and add this to a clean big bowl and let it rise for 2 hours with a tea towel on it.
After 2 hours it doubled in size and you can take it out of the bowl.
Roll it out and cut the dough in 6 pieces.
Roll them in the palm of your hand till it's shaped like a burger bun.
Place them on an oven tray with baking paper.
Cover it with a tea towel and let it proof for 1½ hour.
Give the buns an egg wash with (1 egg and 1 tbsp milk mixed) with a brush.
Put them in a pre heated oven at 200℃ for 14 minutes.
After 14 minutes take them out of the oven and let them cool down.
