Leave the crescent roll dough rolled up and slice it into eight equal sized rounds using a serrated knife.
Arrange the rounds on a baking sheet and flatten each round slightly with your hand.
Use a fork to make a crisscross pattern in the center of each round to prevent puffing while baking.
Combine vegan cream cheese and powdered sugar in a bowl and mix well to create the filling.
Take 1 or 2 teaspoons of the cream cheese mixture and spread it onto the center of each round, keeping it mostly in the well made by the fork.
Slice four cherries in half and remove the pits, placing one half cherry in the center of each danish.
Bake the danishes in the oven until they start to turn golden brown, checking based on personal preference and oven specifics.
Let the danishes cool a little before drizzling with glaze (optional).
