Create three wells in the dry mixture.
In the first well, add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
In the second well, add 2 tablespoons of white vinegar.
In the third well, add 1/3 cup of water.
Mix all the ingredients together in the pan until combined.
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
Place the cake in the oven and bake for 30 minutes.
Check the cake with a toothpick to see if it's done after 30 minutes.
Let the cake cool completely in the pan after baking.
Prepare the icing by measuring out 1 cup of powdered sugar and adding it to a bowl.
Add 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder and 1/4 teaspoon of salt to the powdered sugar.
Gradually add water to the icing mixture until it reaches the desired consistency.
Spread the icing over the cooled cake using a spatula.
Cut and serve the cake.
