  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp chipotle sauce
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. 1In a bowl, combine the buttermilk and chicken strips. Marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. 2In another bowl, mix together the flour, cornmeal, paprika, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
  3. 3Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.
  4. 4Remove chicken from the buttermilk and dredge in the flour mixture, ensuring each piece is well coated.
  5. 5Fry the chicken strips in batches until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes per batch. Drain on paper towels.
  6. 6In a small saucepan, combine honey, chipotle sauce, and lime juice. Heat over low until warmed through, stirring to combine.
  7. 7Toss the fried chicken strips in the honey chipotle sauce until well coated.
