Thaw puff pastry and roll it out flat into a 13 by 8 inch cooking dish.

Coat the bottom and sides of the dish with the puff pastry.

Partially bake the puff pastry at 400°F for 5 to 6 minutes.

In a bowl, combine the shredded chicken, two cans of cream of mushroom soup, 1/2 cup of milk, salt, and pepper.

Spread the chicken and mushroom mixture evenly over the par-baked puff pastry.

Sprinkle a whole packet of shredded cheddar cheese over the chicken mixture.

Top with a second layer of puff pastry and add more cheese on top.

Bake at 350°F for 12 to 15 minutes.
