Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1/2 cup sliced black olives
  • 1/2 cup diced bell peppers
  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. 1Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the crockpot.
  2. 2Pour the marinara sauce over the chicken breasts, ensuring they are well coated.
  3. 3Add the sliced black olives, diced bell peppers, and diced onions on top of the sauce.
  4. 4Sprinkle the Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper over the ingredients in the crockpot.
  5. 5Cover the crockpot with the lid and set it to low heat for 6-8 hours or high heat for 3-4 hours.
  6. 6Once cooked, check that the chicken is fully cooked and tender.
  7. 7If desired, sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top before serving.
  8. 8Serve the chicken with the sauce and vegetables over pasta, rice, or on its own.

  • 12 oz bow tie pasta
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 24 oz marinara sauce
  • 15 oz ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. 1In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with the chopped onion and minced garlic until the meat is cooked through. Drain excess fat.
  2. 2In a large bowl, combine the cooked beef mixture, marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. 3In a separate bowl, mix the ricotta cheese with half of the mozzarella and half of the Parmesan cheese.
  4. 4Spread a thin layer of the meat sauce mixture on the bottom of the slow cooker.
  5. 5Layer half of the bow tie pasta over the sauce, followed by half of the ricotta mixture, and then half of the remaining meat sauce.
  6. 6Repeat the layers with the remaining pasta, ricotta mixture, and meat sauce.
  7. 7Top with the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  8. 8Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or until the pasta is tender and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. 9Garnish with fresh basil before serving.

  • 6 cups water
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp chili powder

  3. 3Drizzle the olive oil over the mixture.

  5. 5Cover the crockpot and set it to low heat.
  6. 6Cook for 6-8 hours or until the beans are tender.
  7. 7Once cooked, remove the bay leaf and adjust seasoning if necessary.
  8. 8Serve warm as a side dish or over rice.
