2 lbs potatoes
4 spring onions
2 tablespoons chives
1 cup milk
4 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Peel and chop the potatoes.

Place the potatoes in a saucepan and add a little salt and cover with cold water.

Bring to the boil and simmer for about 20 to 25 minutes.
