Button mushrooms are often more affordable.

Wash and pat dry 1 lb of mushrooms.

In a skillet, add butter and allow it to warm up over low heat.

Once the butter melts, add 4 small cloves of chopped garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds.

Add the washed and dried mushrooms to the skillet.

Sauté the mushrooms for at least 10 minutes, tossing occasionally, on medium-low heat.

When the mushrooms are about 2 minutes from being done, add 1 teaspoon of salt, a pinch of black pepper, 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1 teaspoon of onion powder, and 1/4 teaspoon of paprika.

Add fresh parsley and adjust seasonings according to taste.

Let the mushrooms cook with the seasonings for about 1 minute before serving.
