Today we're gonna be making a French style almond Apple galette.

Start by making a thin layer of almond frangipane.

In a bowl, combine 1 egg, some sugar, butter, and almond flour.

Add almond extract to the frangipane mixture.

Mix until the frangipane is nice and smooth, then set it aside.

Using a mandolin, thinly slice 3 apples.

Pour lemon juice over the sliced apples to prevent browning.

Add a bit of sugar and cinnamon to the apples and mix to coat them evenly.

Take a premade pie dough and spread 2 to 3 spoonfuls of the frangipane layer on the bottom, leaving about an inch space around the edges.

Arrange the overlapping apple slices over the frangipane in your desired design.

Fold in the edges of the dough overlapping them to form the crust.

Preheat the oven to 425°F (218°C).
