6 chicken thighs, skin on, bone in
4 Golden Delicious apples
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 stick butter
1/2 cup apple cider
1.5 cups chicken broth
leeks

Soak leeks in salt water to clean them.

Heat a 12-inch cast iron skillet and add 1/3 cup vegetable oil to coat the bottom.

Season chicken thighs with salt, black pepper, and Mrs Dash on both sides.

Place chicken thighs skin side down in the skillet and sear for 5 minutes.

Flip chicken thighs and sear for another 5 minutes until golden brown.

Remove excess oil from the skillet and add 1 stick of butter to melt.

Add flour to the melted butter and cook for a couple of minutes to remove the raw flour taste.

Pour in 1/2 cup apple cider and 1.5 cups chicken broth, stirring to combine.
