Blitz together 1 cup whole raw almonds and 1 cup granulated sugar in a food processor until finely ground.
Add 1 cup all-purpose flour and 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt to the processor and mix.
Cut 1/2 cup unsalted butter into cubes and add to the mixture, processing until large crumbs form.
Scrape down the sides of the processor occasionally to ensure even mixing.
Prep a 9x9 inch baking pan by spraying it with cooking spray and lining it with parchment paper longer on all four sides.
Press about two-thirds of the almond mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan to form the base.
Spread 1 cup of raspberry jam evenly over the crust using a small offset spatula.
Crumble the remaining almond mixture over the jam, leaving some larger pieces for texture.
Sprinkle 1/4 cup of sliced almonds over the top of the mixture.
Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for about 25 to 30 minutes until the jam is bubbly and the topping is golden brown.
Allow the bars to cool completely for about an hour in the pan.
Use the parchment paper handles to lift the bars out of the pan and cut into 16 squares.
