1

Slice bananas and layer cookies and bananas in a pan, set aside and make pudding.

2

Melt butter in a saucepan and add sugar and corn starch.

3

Beat egg yolks well and add to milk, then add milk and egg mixture to butter and sugar mixture in the saucepan.

4

Add the nutmeg, cinnamon, and allspice.

5

Cook on medium high until it comes to a rolling boil and the mixture thickens.

6

Put a spoon in and lift it out; the spoon should be coated on the back with thick pudding.

7

Stir in the flavorings after removing from heat.

8

Pour pudding over cookies and bananas and poke holes with the handle of a wooden spoon so that pudding can flow down throughout cookies and bananas.

9

Beat the egg whites with a mixer until frothy, then add 2 tablespoons of powdered artificial sweetener and a pinch of cream of tartar while beating.

10

When egg whites get stiff, dollop on top of banana pudding and spread while forming peaks on top by tapping and lifting the spoon.

11

Slide into a 350 degree oven and bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until heated through and meringue lightly browns.
