Stir in green chili and curry leaves; cook for another minute.

Add diced bottle gourd and stir well to coat with spices.

Sprinkle turmeric, cumin, and coriander powders; mix thoroughly.

Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Pour in coconut milk and bring to a simmer.

Cover and cook until bottle gourd is tender, about 10-15 minutes.
