Chocolate Mint Bars

1 cup dates
1 cup nuts (pecans used)
3/4 cup protein powder (or whey protein)
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
2 tablespoons almond milk

Put 1 cup of dates into a food processor and blend until they are about pea-sized and crumbly.

Add 1 cup of nuts (pecans) to the food processor and blend until finely ground.

Add 3/4 cup protein powder, 1/4 cup cocoa powder, 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract, 1/2 teaspoon sea salt, and 2 tablespoons almond milk to the mixture.

Continue blending until the mixture forms a sticky ball.

Dump the mixture into a prepared 9 x 9 or 8 x 8 inch pan lined with plastic wrap or parchment paper.

Press the mixture evenly across the pan.

Place the pan in the freezer for about 15 minutes to let it solidify.

After 15 minutes, use the plastic wrap to remove the mixture from the pan and cut it into individual pieces.
