2 (15-ounce) cans cannellini beans, drained but not rinsed
1/2 cup chicken or vegetable broth
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
2 tablespoons heavy cream or half and half
1/3 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese, divided
2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice or white wine
Chopped fresh parsley for garnish, optional
4 slices Italian bread for serving
