Add 1/2 cup chopped onion and 1/2 rib of celery, sautéing for 6 to 10 minutes until tender and translucent.

Add 12 ounces of frozen corn to the pot, mixing it with the sautéed vegetables.

Pour in 2 cups of water and 32 ounces of chicken broth, stirring to combine.

Add 1/4 teaspoon of white pepper to the mixture.

Bring the mixture to a simmer, then reduce the heat to maintain a gentle simmer for 20 minutes.

Turn off the heat and let the soup cool for about 10 minutes before blending.

Ladle the soup into a blender and puree until smooth.

Pour the pureed soup back into the pot and bring it back up to a simmer.

Once simmering, add 4 ounces of cream and stir for about 30 seconds to combine.

Taste the soup and adjust seasoning if necessary.
