Place the boneless gam joint into a large pot, ensuring there is about an inch of space around it.
Pour in enough cola to cover the ham.
Add a handful of cloves and a tablespoon of black peppercorns to the pot.
Slice one whole onion and add it to the pot without peeling it.
Cook the ham for about an hour and a half, aiming for an internal temperature of 68°C (155°F).
After cooking, turn off the heat and let the ham cool in the liquid.
Remove the skin from the ham using a sharp knife, keeping as much fat as possible.
Score the surface of the ham in a diamond pattern.
Insert cloves into the intersections of the scored lines.
In a separate pot, combine 4 tablespoons of honey, 3 tablespoons of brown sugar, and the juice of half an orange.
Heat the glaze mixture on the stove until it thickens, about 6 to 8 minutes.
Remove the glaze from heat and let it cool slightly before brushing it over the ham.
Sprinkle additional English mustard over the glazed ham.
Preheat the oven to 220°C (450°F).
Bake the glazed ham in the oven for about 25 minutes until golden brown.
