Turn the muffin tin upside down so the cups are facing upwards and generously butter the outsides.
Cut the puff pastry sheet into even squares.
Poke each square a few times with a fork to help steam escape during baking.
Drape each pastry square over the muffin cups and gently press them around the shape.
Poke a few holes on the top of the pastry squares.
Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Lightly brush the pastry with an egg.
Bake the pastry cups for about 10 minutes until golden brown.
Remove the pastry cups from the oven and let them cool on a wooden board or wire rack.
Prepare the strawberries by rinsing, removing the green leaves, and slicing them up.
Prepare the vanilla pudding according to package instructions, mixing the powder with a few tablespoons of milk and heating the rest on the stove until boiling.
Once the pudding is ready, spoon about 2 tablespoons into each puff pastry cup and top with sliced strawberries.
Chill the cups in the fridge for 2 to 4 hours to set the pudding.
Dust with powdered sugar or top with whipped cream before serving.
