Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
Grease a loaf pan with butter or cooking spray.
In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
Mix in the melted butter until well combined.
Add sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract; stir until fully incorporated.
In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture; stir until just combined.
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
Bake in the preheated oven for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for 10 minutes.
Transfer the bread to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
