Jambalaya Soup

sliced smoked sausage
cut-up bite-sized pieces of chicken
raw deveined shrimp
diced onion
diced green bell pepper
diced red bell pepper
diced jalapeno
minced garlic
can of crushed tomatoes
chicken broth
all-purpose flour
1 cup white rice
olive oil
bay leaves
Cajun seasoning
smoked paprika
thyme
onion powder
garlic powder
dried parsley flakes
oregano

Add olive oil to pot.

Add sliced smoked sausage and chicken, cook until browned.

Add diced onions and bell peppers, cook until soft.

Add diced jalapeno, cook for a minute.

Add minced garlic, cook until fragrant.

Add flour to thicken, cook until brown.

Add chicken broth, blend well.

Add crushed tomatoes and season with bay leaves, Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, thyme, onion powder, garlic powder, dried parsley flakes, and oregano.

Stir in seasonings and let cook.

Add shrimp and cook until done.

Cook rice separately and add to soup at the end.
