Gather the ingredients: mozzarella cheese, eggs, whole milk, salt, black pepper, whole oregano, all-purpose flour, plain Italian breadcrumbs, and oil.
In a mixing bowl, add 3 large eggs and a splash of whole milk.
Season the egg mixture with salt, black pepper, and whole oregano, then whisk for 45 seconds.
Cut the 16 oz block of mozzarella cheese into 5 big pieces, then cut each piece into 14 medium-sized sticks.
Coat each mozzarella stick in all-purpose flour.
Dip the flour-coated mozzarella stick into the seasoned egg wash, ensuring it is fully coated.
Press the breadcrumbs onto the egg-coated mozzarella stick, then dip it back into the egg wash again.
Drain the excess egg wash and coat the mozzarella stick with breadcrumbs once more, pressing the breadcrumbs firmly against the cheese.
Place the coated mozzarella sticks on a plate and freeze for at least 2 hours to set the coating.
After 2 hours, heat oil in a pot over high heat for 7 to 9 minutes until very hot.
Fry the mozzarella sticks in the hot oil for about 1 minute, or until they begin to brown and cheese starts to ooze out.
Remove the fried mozzarella sticks and place them on a paper towel plate to drain excess oil.
