Cut mozzarella cheese into stick-sized pieces, approximately 3 inches long and 1/2 inch thick.
In a bowl, mix 2 cups of panko breadcrumbs with 1/2 teaspoon all-purpose seasoning, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, 1/2 teaspoon onion powder, 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon dried oregano, and 1 teaspoon dried basil.
In another bowl, combine 3 tablespoons of all-purpose flour with 1/4 cup of milk to create a batter, ensuring it has a nice consistency (not too thick or thin).
Prepare a shallow dish with 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour mixed with a pinch of salt and pepper for coating.
Coat each mozzarella stick in the flour, shaking off the excess.
Dip the floured stick into the batter, ensuring it is fully coated, then shake off the excess batter.
Roll the batter-coated stick in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing to adhere, and ensure it is well-coated.
Repeat the batter and breadcrumb steps for double coating to prevent cheese from oozing out during frying.
Place the coated mozzarella sticks in the freezer for 10 to 15 minutes to firm up before frying.
Heat cooking oil in a deep fryer to 320°F (160°C).
Fry the mozzarella sticks in batches until golden brown and the cheese is melted, about 2-3 minutes, turning them over as needed.
Remove the fried mozzarella sticks with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
Serve hot with marinara sauce for dipping.
