Remove the stems from the strawberries and slice them into quarters.

Add the sliced strawberries to a pot along with some maple syrup and 1 teaspoon of lemon juice.

Cook on medium heat for about 5 to 7 minutes or until the fruit starts softening.

Once soft, use a potato masher to break up any larger pieces of fruit.

Add 2 tablespoons of chia seeds and stir them into the fruit puree.

Let the jam cool, as the chia seeds will continue to thicken it.

Pour the jam into a storage container and place it in the refrigerator.
