1 cup red lentils, rinsed
3 cups boiling water

Add 1 cup of rinsed red lentils and 3 cups of boiling water. Stir to combine.

Turn up the heat and bring the mixture to a boil.

Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover with a lid, and simmer for about 45 minutes.

After 45 minutes, turn off the heat and remove the lid. Stir gently to combine.
