Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat.
Sauté chopped onions and garlic until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
Add the sautéed onions and garlic to the mashed mixture.
Season with salt, black pepper, and fresh herbs to taste.
Mix thoroughly until well combined.
Serve warm as a side dish.
