Ingredients
- ●1 pound fresh jalapeños
- ●2 cups granulated sugar
- ●1 cup apple cider vinegar
- ●1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ●1 teaspoon onion powder
- ●1/2 teaspoon turmeric
- ●1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- ●1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- ●1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- 1Wash the jalapeños and slice them into rings, removing the seeds if you prefer less heat.
- 2In a large saucepan, combine the sugar, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, turmeric, cayenne pepper, black pepper, and salt.
- 3Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is dissolved.
- 4Add the sliced jalapeños to the saucepan and return to a boil.
- 5Reduce the heat and let the jalapeños simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- 6Using a slotted spoon, transfer the jalapeños to sterilized jars, leaving some space at the top.
- 7Continue to simmer the syrup for an additional 5-10 minutes until it thickens slightly.
- 8Pour the hot syrup over the jalapeños in the jars, ensuring they are fully submerged.
- 9Seal the jars with lids and let them cool to room temperature before refrigerating.
- 10Allow the cowboy candy to sit in the refrigerator for at least 24 hours before using for the best flavor.

- ●4 slices of bacon
- ●2 large eggs
- ●1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ●1 tbsp butter
- ●Salt to taste
- ●Pepper to taste
Instructions
- 1Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
- 2Cook the bacon in the skillet until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- 3In the same skillet, crack the eggs and cook to your desired doneness (sunny-side up, over-easy, etc.). Season with salt and pepper.
- 4While the eggs are cooking, split the English muffins and toast them until golden brown.
- 5Once the eggs are done, place a slice of cheese on top of each egg and cover the skillet to melt the cheese, about 1-2 minutes.
- 6Spread butter on the toasted English muffins.
- 7Layer the bacon on the bottom half of each muffin, followed by the cheesy egg.
- 8Top with the other half of the muffin and serve immediately.
