Prepare a 2.5-liter jar for pickling.
Place chunks of dill at the bottom of the jar.
Add a few cloves of garlic to cover the bottom of the jar.
Fill the jar with cucumbers.
Boil water and use hot water to fill the jar with cucumbers.
For every liter of water, add 2 tablespoons of large sea salt and 1 teaspoon of sugar.
Mix the salt and sugar in the hot water until dissolved.
Pour the hot water mixture into the jar over the cucumbers.
Seal the jar and let it sit for 24 hours.
After 24 hours, check the cucumbers; the water should have changed color and have a nice smell.
Remove a cucumber to taste, ensuring it's crunchy.
