Remove with a slotted spoon and drain.
In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat and sauté chopped onion until golden, about 5-7 minutes.
Add the cooked pierogi to the skillet and fry until lightly browned, about 3-4 minutes.
Serve hot, topped with sautéed onions and a dollop of sour cream.
