Greek Tomato Salad

Cultural Context

Originating from the sunny shores of Greece, Greek Tomato Salad, or Horiatiki, is a staple of Mediterranean cuisine. Traditionally enjoyed during summer months, it celebrates the vibrant flavors of fresh vegetables, olives, and feta cheese, often served as a refreshing accompaniment to grilled meats. This salad has gained worldwide popularity, with many variations emerging, but the essence remains the same: simple, high-quality ingredients that highlight the beauty of the season.
