1

Light a candle using coarse salt and olive oil in a candelabra.

2

Pray and make a cross before starting the recipe.

3

Clean 500 gr. of husked wheat, removing stones and legumes.

4

Clean 300 gr. of desiccated coconut and 400 gr. of blonde raisins, removing stalks and rotten pieces.

5

Clean 200 gr. of black currants in the same manner as the raisins.

6

Inspect and clean 300 gr. of whole walnuts, removing broken pieces, totaling 600 g of walnuts.

7

Chop walnuts coarsely in a blender, adding small amounts at a time.

8

Boil a pot of water and add 500 gr. of almonds, boiling for 1 minute, then turn off the heat and let them sit for another minute.

9

Strain the almonds and cool them for 1-2 minutes before removing the skins by pressing them out.

10

Wash the almonds in plenty of cold water to make them white, repeating if necessary.

11

Spread the almonds on towels and cover them, letting them dry for about 1 hour, adjusting time based on the season.

12

Roast 250 g of dehulled sesame seeds in a pan, stirring with a wooden spoon for 1-2 minutes until they turn a blonde color, not black.

13

Chop the roasted sesame seeds in a food processor, adding small amounts at a time to release their oils.

14

Wash the wheat with cold water 2-3 times until the water runs clear, then soak it in plenty of cold water for 12 hours.

15

After soaking, wash the wheat again with cold water, rubbing it well.

16

In a large pot, add the soaked wheat with plenty of cold water, warming it slowly without boiling first.

17

Once it begins to boil, cook for 15-30 minutes until the wheat is soft but not mushy, avoiding pressure cooking.

18

After cooking, drain the wheat in a colander and let it sit to remove excess water.

19

Spread the wheat on towels on a kitchen counter to dry, opening it with a spoon to release steam.

20

Prepare 2 peeled pomegranates by cutting around the circumference and removing the seeds, avoiding the bitter white membrane.

21

Wash and dry 1/2 bunch of parsley, using only the leaves for decoration.

22

Keep some almonds and walnuts aside for decoration, along with raisins and pomegranate.
