Get the ingredients ready: 250 g bread flour, 25 g castor sugar, 20 g unsalted butter, 2 large eggs, 7 g yeast, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 75 mL warm milk, 75 mL warm water, 150 g icing sugar, 3 tablespoons milk, pinch of salt, splash of water, sultanas, and cherries.

Sift the bread flour into a bowl.

Add castor sugar, salt, yeast, and butter to the bowl.

Add the eggs and sultanas to the mixture.

Warm the milk and add it to the mixture.

Mix the ingredients together until combined, then add warm water gradually.

Knead the dough for about 8 to 10 minutes until it is sticky but comes away from the bowl.

Cover the bowl with the dough and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.

Once risen, punch down the dough to release air and divide it into 6 equal pieces.

Mold each piece into a round ball, ensuring they are approximately 90 g each.

Place the shaped buns on a baking tray and cover them for another 30 minutes to rise.

Prepare an egg wash with a splash of water and a pinch of salt, and brush it over the tops of the buns.

Place the buns in the air fryer and cook at 180°C for 10 minutes, checking periodically for doneness.
