Recipe Information
Coconut-Lime Chicken
Heat 6 tablespoons of cooking oil in a pan.
Add 1 small chopped onion and sauté until translucent.
Add 1 tablespoon of chopped garlic and sauté briefly.
Add 500 grams of boneless chicken legs and fry until cooked.
Add spices: 1 teaspoon turmeric, 1 teaspoon crushed black pepper, and salt to taste.
Add 4 tablespoons of fish sauce and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice.
Pour in 1 tin of coconut milk and mix well.
If the coconut milk is not in a tin, use approximately 1.5 sachets of coconut milk powder instead.
Add optional red chili if desired and mix.
Add 1 packet of cream and mix well.
Add 1 cup of water and bring to a boil, cooking for 5-7 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked.
Check the salt and adjust if necessary after 3-4 minutes of cooking.
If desired, thicken the sauce with corn flour, but the creator suggests this is optional.
Finally, add chopped coriander before serving.
Serve the coconut lime chicken with plain boiled rice.
